Bathtime is LUSH

Good afternoon everyone

This week I have been enjoying some me time with some days holiday off of work before I go on maternity leave, (I had 9 days left to use before the end of October) So yesterday me and my Nana took the opportunity to go and have a day out shopping. We went to our local shopping centre, had a good wander round and some lovely lunch in Debenhams café. One of the main places I wanted to go into was LUSH!!!

As I am sure any woman who has ever been pregnant could agree with me, baths are AMAZING when you have a bit of a bad back, or have had a hard day at work, maybe you are feeling a bit emotional because your other half hasn’t put his dirty underwear in the wash basket, but next to it on the floor instead (looking at Mr Bow here) A good bath can heal almost anything, I am pretty positive that a good Lush bath contains actual magical powers, anyway I had ran out of EVERYTHING from Lush so I needed to stock up and I thought it would be a great opportunity to show you what I have bought (I thought I would add what Lush say about them too)

Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon

“For those times when you need a bit of comfort. Instead of reaching for a sweet treat, run a bath and crumble this macaroon-shaped bar under the tap for some serious indulgence. With moisturising coconut oil and shea butter, Yuzu and Cocoa has a mood-brightening colour and scent thanks to a blend of citrus oils, with a chocolatey undertone. Coconut and shea butter get to work feeding your skin as you soak, while the citrus oils pep up your mood.

I was very intrigued when I saw this as it is not my normal style at all!! Give me chocolate to eat any day of the week but I didn’t quite know how I felt about it in my bath. But once I gave it a sniff OMG!!! It smells incredible, obviously I haven’t used them yet so I will have to report back on how they are in the bath but I can see this becoming a strong favourite of mine.

The Comforter Bubble Bar

“Sometimes you just need to shut yourself off from the outside world under a blanket of fruity foam that will put you back in the right frame of mind to face the world. This bar is supersized, so you’ll only need to crumble half a bar under your tap to make enough bubbles for a long, comforting soak. Cassis absolute gives a distinctive blackcurrant fragrance, while bergamot adds an uplifting note.

I must admit, this is the only one of what I have bought that I have tried before, and it is most definitely a tried and tested favourite!! I always repurchase this every time I go into Lush!! I also always find the biggest one I can so I can use it as many times as possible, this is one that I always break into at least 3 pieces, the smell is incredible and the bubbles are also lovely that it produces, they have also just bought out a shower gel in the same scent so I think that will be firmly on my list for my next visit!!

Frozen Bath Bomb

“Do you want to have a bath bomb? Do you want to splash and play? Enjoy the most magical soak in the kingdom with this shimmering blue bath bomb, which spills out rolling snowdrifts of silver lustre. Uplifting neroli from Tunisia and precious rose oil from Turkey are sure to spread a little sunshine and melt the iciest of moods. If your day's felt like a series of doors in your face, this shiny, sky blue bomb filled with sparkle provides the perfect fairytale ending. Step in, take a deep breath and let it go.”

Im not going to pretend that my love for the film had any bearings on the fact that I bought this bath bomb, however the smell is also incredible. There looks as if there is silver glitter running through this which well who doesn’t love a bit of glitter (maybe Mr Bow when the bath is all glittery afterwards) Blue is also one of my favourite colours so I am always automatically drawn to blue objects (a bit like a magpie to shiny things) I will report back on this one to tell you how It was.

Dragons Egg Bath Bomb

“Dragon’s Egg makes bathtime exciting as it fizzes and crackles and changes the colour of your water to a gorgeous citrusy gold. Its scent is reminiscent of lemon sherbet, with a hint of jasmine, leaving you feeling great and ready for a good day. Its citrus scents leave you feeling transformed and invigorated.

I had seen this bath bomb so many times but never actually tried it so I thought I would give it a go, the smell is incredible and from what I can remember hearing about it even though it looks a bit bland from the outside there is a rainbow of colours inside so I think this one most definitely will be a “don’t judge a book by its cover”

Milky Bath Bubble Bar

“Don't cry over spilled milk - bathe in it! This comforting little milk bottle bubble bar is filled with uplifting orange oil and skimmed milk to treat your skin to a dose of happiness. A cocoa butter bottle top adds a little bit of extra softness. Simply crumble under running water, for a super bubbly treat of a bath.

This one I had never seen or heard anything about and was a recommendation from the lovely girl who worked in the store, after mentioning that I was pregnant she said this one is brilliant for moisture for when bump gets a bit tight and itchy (which is starting to happen more often now, more on that to come another day) it smells so nice and warming if that is even a thing, I think this one will be a definite treat bath when I use it.

Intergalactic Bath Bomb

“Ever wondered what bathing in deep space would be like? Invite the cosmos into your bathroom with this sexy, interstellar bomb and become the guardian of your own galaxy. An awesome mix of refreshing peppermint and neon colour sends your mood rocketing, while popping candy takes you on a trip around the Milky Way. Constellations swirl and pop, creating vibrant lustre vortexes in the night sky. Before you leap too far, rogue layers of vetivert and cedarwood take hold, evoking the warmth of human contact far from home and a hint of 80s aftershave. Return from your intergalactic brief encounter as the grounding scent brings you gently back from orbit.”

Honestly I was sold on this one just by how it looks, but the fact it smells amazing too is an added bonus!! I can’t wait to see what it looks like when I pop it into my bath with all the colours and what looks like some glitter running through it, I’m sure it is going to be an exciting one.

Well that Is everything I got from Lush on my little shopping trip yesterday, stay tuned if you want to see individual reviews on them as I use them. I already want to go and run myself a nice warm bath and jump into it but alas housework and making lunch calls.

Talk to you all soon

Lots of love

I Have Resurfaced

So hello there,

I didn’t really get off to the best start with blogging really, looking back on things I probably should have waited till about now to start it instead of way back when, (well that’s how it feels anyway) so much has been going on over the last couple of months that I have barely had time to sit down with a brew (one of my favourite past times) let alone anything else.

So to catch you up on what has been going on, me and Mr Bow have moved into our own house now which was slightly stressful to say the least.

1-    I didn’t realise just how much stuff I had ( some of which is still at my mums house)
2-   There were things I couldn’t do for the fact I was about 15 weeks pregnant (also family not letting me do things)
3-   Waiting for things to be ordered and delivered from different places etc. (Bed, Sofa, Washing Machine etc.)

However we are pretty much all settled in now apart from a few minor adjustments to bits and bobs that need to be made, and I have to say, I LOVE our little house. It’s perfect for us and for when our little family becomes 3 instead of 2! :D EEEKKKK

Onto the vain of Bump, I have had 2 scans since I last spoke to you and we have found out that our little bean is going to be a girl which is so exciting! I know different people have different opinions on whether you should find out or not but in my own personal opinion I am far too impatient to wait and I wanted to be able to get things sorted such as buying clothes and getting her room set up, which I have done,

Its not 100% finished yet as my mum has upcycled an old wardrobe for us which will be coming round to our house this weekend I think, and I still want some nice pictures to hang on the wall, (I’m thinking Alice in Wonderland as it’s my favourite book of all time) we have gotten some second hand bits of furniture like a toybox (which is being used for bedding at the moment) and a shelving unit off of one of my Nan and Granddads friends. The cot and mattress we have bought new from IKEA and we also got some storage boxes for underneath the cot and on the shelving unit, which me and Mr Bow spent a Sunday afternoon building and putting together.

I have been enjoying sorting out all of the things we have bought for bean and will do a post about the bits and bobs I have got already and what else is needed, sort of like a little haul over the last few months.

Anyway I think that is enough ramblings for today,

Speak to you very soon

Lots of love
